The Seed Company has 64 bins on its facility and many more nearby the facility. The bins range in
size from 250 metric tons capacity to 800 metric tons capacity. Bins of these size are ideal for IP
Handling. We assign a grower to each bin so as to keep soybeans segregated by grower as well as
variety and lot.

The Seed company provides storage space to most of its growers (nearly 200 local soybean
producers) and our growers deliver the soybeans to our facility during harvest time. Soybeans are
tested upon delivery for genetic purity, gmo contamination, moisture, nutritional content, seed coat
quality and for odor/mold. Soybeans which are fit for food consumption are loaded into our bins.
The bins used at The Seed Company are designed to protect the soybeans from moisture and
pests. They protect the soybeans from the time after harvest to the next harvest. Each bin is
emptied prior to the following harvest and is aerated and cleaned thoroughly. Our employees check
the interior of each bin in great detail to ensure that the bin is fit for storage and that it can protect
the next harvest of soybeans from moisture and pests.
